COVID-19 Updates

We are open!

Welcome! Currently Shull Physical Therapy Center requires all its employees, patients, and guests to wear a mask or face covering in our facility. We will also perform a temperature check upon arrival to help ensure the health and safety of everyone that enters our facility.

In addition to this measure, we are continuing to implement our current COVID-19 policies as followed:

  • Patients will be limited to be accompanied by only one person to their appointments to decrease the amount of people in our waiting room
  • Patients will be placed on a two week hold if they have been in direct contact with someone who is infected with COVID-19
  • Patients will be placed on a two week hold if they exhibit any cough, fever, newly excessive fatigue, and new shortness of breath symptoms
  • Our staff is cleaning equipment with disinfectant spray and disinfectant wipes throughout the day between each use
  • Our staff is cleaning common areas of the waiting room three times per day
  • Our receptionist will be signing in each patient upon arrival to minimize unnecessary contact

As we learn more about the COVID-19 virus, we have relied on the CDC, state, and other federal agencies to prescribe recommended preventative actions. Physical therapy services are considered an essential service for the community and are available for our patients in our outpatient clinic. We want you to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure a safe experience in our facility.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and follow the updates from the state, federal health agencies, and other health organizations. Have confidence that we are prepared to navigate through these challenging circumstances with your safety and well-being in the forefront of everything we do.

We are open for treatments!

We will continue to see new and current patients for their physical therapy until otherwise directed by the state or federal agencies.

We understand there are patients who will want to stay in-home until this crisis has subsided and we will comply with their wishes. We will be following up with those patients to ensure they are participating in a home program for a greater continuity of care from their clinical program.

We currently have a Tele-health solution to better accommodate treatments for patients who wish to stay home during this time.

We ask the following questions to all new and current patients:

Have you traveled overseas or to any location within the USA where there has been a prominent number of COVID-19 infections?

Have you been in contact with anyone who is/has been sick with fever, cough, or shortness of breath?

Please notify us.

Keeping YOU safe in our Clinic

We are honoring the requests of some patients who feel it is in their best interest to to hold off on therapy sessions until this situation passes.

We are adjusting our scheduling routine to prevent our facility from becoming overcrowded to allow for the social distancing recommended. This also allows time for our staff to clean and sanitize all areas of the office more frequently than usual.

Our staff is taking extra precautions including the following:

  • Our receptionist is assisting the patients with the signing in process to prevent unnecessary contact for common items
  • Our employees are wearing face masks in the facility
  • Our employees are practicing proper hand washing with soap and water before and after each patient encounter and use of hand sanitizer
  • Covering their cough and sneeze with tissue or into elbow
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces including tables, equipment, doorknobs, waiting area, and patient check in station
  • Staying home if they are feeling sick
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility for patient and guest use
